The Beautiful State of Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh, officially the State of Chhattisgarh, is located in the center-east of India. It is one of India’s newest states, having been formed only in 2000 as part of the implementation of the ongoing process of reorganization of states and union territories by the government of India. It was created from the relatively larger but sparsely populated state of Madhya Pradesh with the inauguration of its new capital in Raipur in 2005 and comprises 10 districts formerly belonging to Madhya Pradesh and three districts formerly belonging to Andhra Pradesh.

Location of Chhattisgarh

The central state is located in India. It sits right between Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. Its capital city is Raipur. The headquarter also called the Administrative capital, where most government offices are situated is located at Bilaspur which was formerly known as headquarters Raipur (Bilaspur). The other major cities and towns of Chhattisgarh are Bhatapara, Dantewada, Jagdalpur, Kanker, Kawardha, Korba, Rajnandgaon, Ramanujganj, and Surajpur.

Hindi & Urdu, with minor languages being Gondi, Bhili, and Nihali. The state of Chhattisgarh has been divided into 25 districts. These districts are Bilaspur, Durg, Raipur, Janjgir-Champa, and Surguja from north to south along with Bemetara and Surajpur from east to west. Bilaspur is one among them which is also known as ‘the city beautiful’ because it holds an enviable position on India’s industrial map due to its presence in the coal belt area and has several industries working in the power sector but also in aluminum production and many more.
